Ken Done worked with Australian band Oh Mercy on the cover of their album 'Great Barrier Grief' in 2011, which went on to receive an Aria Award nomination for 'Best Cover Art'.

"I approached Ken because I wanted something vibrant and bold," singer Alexander Gow told M+N. "I was also very aware of his place within the Australian psyche. Knowing the title was going to be Great Barrier Grief, I knew it'd be a perfect match."

Gow pitched the idea to Done via email, after which he was invited to the artist's gallery at The Rocks in Sydney. "I met his family, and we just had a chat about art and music. It was enough to make him say, 'Yeah, I'll do it,'" Gow says. "His wife just said that I got him on a good day – he turns people away all the time. I consider myself lucky."
