The brilliant Sydney Dance Company Artistic Director and choreographer Rafael Bonachela has premiered a brand new work, Summer. Working with Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett of Romance Was Born, the three dancers’ costumes were designed using Ken's vibrant artworks.
According to Bonachela, it was the collaboration between Romance Was Born and Ken, shown earlier this year during Afterpay Australian Fashion Week, that cemented the partnership. Skewering both modern and nostalgic Australiana, the show, says Bonachela to Grazia, was a perfect fit for the performance of Summer.

“They’re based on Australian summer, the scorching sound of cicadas, the vibrance of our summer light and of course, the colours of our environment,” Luke told InStyle.
