Blue day, 2016, oil and acrylic on linen, 122 x 152 cm
Linton and Kay Gallery
29 April - 21 May 2017
Ken was delighted to head west once more to the beautiful Linton & Kay Galleries in Perth for an exhibition of selected new works.
"The beach is every Australian's playground and I've been painting it for many, many years. These latest works simplify the pattern and the shapes of the sun bakers and relate to the intensity of the light and the experience of being on an Australian beach."
See all the works from the exhibition HERE.
"Anyone looking at Ken Done’s vibrant, playful land-and seascapes and sensuous nudes will be immediately reminded of the art of Picasso and Matisse, Hockney and Dufy. Even that of Klimt, Brett Whiteley, Fred Williams and Australian Indigenous art." Read the rest of this great interview with William Yeomans in The West Australian HERE.
